7.24 Gameplay Update just after DreamLeague Major
Right after the conclusion of DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major, Valve released a new patch bringing map changes, a rework of the neutral items mechanic, a plethora of nerfs to the couriers, hero buffs and nerfs, and the addition of Void Spirit and Snapfire to Captain’s Mode.
Shrines and Outposts
Some of the most important things to note in the new patch are that the Shrines no longer exist, while the Outposts have been moved to each team’s primary jungle. Outposts now start as owned by the respective teams, and can be captured at any time, the experience reward remaining unchanged.
Neutral items
Ever since the addition of the new items, the Dota 2 community hasn’t stopped on giving feedback on their impact on the game. Loved by some, hated by most players, neutral items will now drop 4 per tier, but no heroes can’t wear more than one. A dedicated neutral item slot has been added to the interface, while the backpack slot count has been reduced from 4 to 3. The tier five items will now drop at the 60 minute mark, down from 70.
Courier changes
- Courier death no longer disables your passive gold income
- Courier bounty increased from 25+5*Level for each player to 30 + 7 * Level
- Courier respawn time changed from 50 + 7 * Level to 60 + 7 * Level
- Courier movement speed increased from 280 to 290
- Courier can no longer plant wards at level 15
- Courier can no longer use items at level 25
Melee heroes must keep in mind that starting with the 7,24 patch the melee attacks now have a bonus 150 range against Observer and Sentry Wards, but Quelling Blade, Tango, Iron Talon and Battle Fury no longer kill wards
Among the global changes, the GPM talents have been removed, each hero with a GPM talent getting a new option. The buyback formula and the hero respawn time have been changed..
