Barangay Ginebra took the lead again after Game 3 of their Finals Run
Ginebra won game 3 of PBA Governor Cup last January 12, Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum with a final score of 92-84.
It was a tight game at the first half with just a 1pt lead by GinKings, 43-42. The score stretched away to 20pts lead by GinKings after the 3rd quarter. Even though the Bolts make an effort to catch up an 11 point lead, still wasn’t enough until the last minute of the third quarter. Meralco was scoring poorly outside the arc the whole game, 6-24 3pts field goals only.
An unexpected scene happened at the third quarter as Raymond Almazan had an awkward fall after making an offensive thrust. Leaving the game at 6 minute mark. Almazan has two days to recover before Game 4.
“It’s a collective effort. Credit also to my teammates dahil lahat talaga nag-step up sa opensa at sa depensa. We know they’re one-man down on the early exit of Raymond Almazan, and we took advantage of it,” said Japeth Aguilar.
The GinKings closed the 3rd game with an 8 point lead.
Game 4 will be on January 15, Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
