K/DA Akali reveals the genius behind “MORE”

K/DA designated rapper Akali goes on Genius to explain the meaning behind the lyrics of one of the biggest songs in their recent EP “ALL OUT” on a YouTube video uploaded on Dec. 03,2020.

Akali, the lead dancer and main dancer of virtual K-Pop group K/DA went on a Genius Explained video to explain the meaning and reason behind their newest song, “MORE”. She reveals that the song was about the evolution of the girl group, and that they wanted to make an anthem that would be worthy as a follow-up to their hit song “Pop/Stars”, which was featured in their debut performance during the 2018 League of Legends Worlds Finals in South Korea.

This video features a lot of firsts. This is the first time that a virtual band has been featured on Genius, and this is the first time that K/DA has appeared in anything outside League of Legends. This may mean that Riot Games aims to extend the reach of K/DA outside the circle of League of Legends. In fact, K/DA already has a dedicated fanbase called “BLADES”, according to kprofiles.com.
