CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY FOR THE CHICKEN DINNER WINNERS

Four out of the 64 registered teams made it out alive in South.gg’s recently concluded Southern Holiday Royale, South.gg’s first-ever PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) mini-tournament last December 14 – 17, 2020. Bahamut Gaming, Sedna Esports, Affinity Esports, and Hashira were the final four terms to take home a hot chicken dinner after a three-day shootout in the Playzone.

“[Noong] Game 1, inalam lang namin ang play ng lobby, tapos inadopt namin siya,(During Game 1, we identified the playstyle of the whole lobby and adopted it.)” said Kevin Alejandre, team captain for Sedna Esports. The first day of the Southern Holiday Royale was filled with players testing the waters, as these teams tried to figure out each others’ playstyles.

Although the tournament was paused during December 16 due to the major update in PUBG, the players never lost their fervor as they continued to play for the Finals last December 17.

Bahamut Gaming placed first with a grand total of 44 points, followed by Sedna Esports with an astounding 37 points, tailed by Affinity Esports and Hashira, with 34 and 30 points respectively.
