ANIMAJOR DAY 2 RESULTS (SOUTHSIDE TAMBAYAN COVERAGE)

It is day 2 of the WePlay Kyiv Animajor and the last day of the Wild Card round. Let’s walk through the games covered by the folks over at Southside Tambayan!

AS MONACO GAMBIT VS. VICI GAMING (0-2)

Vici Gaming wiped the floor with AS Monaco Gambit as they close out the series with a spectacular 2-0 win. Ori and Poyoyo worked hand-in-hand to secure both games in their match against CIS team AS Monaco Gambit.

AS Monaco Gambit have surely learned to ban Faceless Void from now on when facing against Vici Gaming, especially with Poyoyo.

EXECRATION VS. TEAM NIGMA (0-2)

Team Nigma proved their prowess as they sweep Execration off their feet in a 2-0 upset in favor of Team Nigma. Miracle’s early rotations helped disrupt Palos’ item and level timing, allowing ILTW’s Spectre to dominate and win them the game despite his “accidental” GG in all chat.

Game 2 proved to be no different as ILTW’s stomps the spellcaster-filled lineup of Execration, being at the mercy of Anti-Mage’s mana-draining blades.

TEAM NIGMA VS. TEAM SECRET (1-1)

ILTW and GH’s Io-Gyrocopter combo gunned down Team Secret and helped them secure a win in game 1 of the series.

Game 2, however, was a forced remake after the Dota 2 client crashed and logged players out of the game in the middle of the second game. Both teams agreed to restart the match with the same heroes and starting items, which turned the tables against Team Nigma and forcing a tie between two teams.

TEAM SECRET VS. INVICTUS GAMING (0-2)

Invictus Gaming swept the floor  with Team Secret with the help of tilt master Emo and his powerful Leshrac play, nullifying a rather well-farmed Miracle Templar Assassin.

Game 2 saw Emo’s full force crashing like a wave onto Team Secret and Nisha, closing the doors for Team Secret and ending their journey in the Kyiv Animajor.

[TIE-BREAKER] TEAM NIGMA VS. INVICTUS GAMING (1-0)

Invictus Gaming and Team Nigma fought to see who gets the spot one of the two teams to proceed to the Group Stage. With both their scores tied, one final tie-breaker match will decide who proceeds with Vici Gaming.

Team Nigma managed to pull through and wipe the floor with Invictus Gaming, and secure their spot in the Group stage together in the Kyiv Animajor with Vici Gaming.
