Chaos add smooya to complete roster
Just a week after announcing the benching of Gage “Infinite” Green Chaos Esports Club has unveiled his replacement as none other than Owen “smooya” Butterfield. Infinite was benched as part of a mutual decision by the players.
The English AWPer was recently released from BIG Clan as they moved back to an all-German lineup with the additions of Nils “k1to” Gruhne and Florian “syrsoN” Rische. He posted his desire to continue to compete and in the North American region in particular and it seems it didn’t take long to find a new home as this announcement comes just 9 days later.
Joshua “steel” Nissan and company will be competing in the 33rd season ESEA’s Mountain Dew League which starts in just three days on January 13th. Their only matches thus far in 2020 came in the IEM Katowice 2020 Closed Qualifier in which they were eliminated following losses to MIBR and the new Complexity lineup. Neither MIBR or Complexity managed to qualify as Cloud9 earned the spot.
Chaos also revealed their plans to relocate their players to Phoenix, Arizona due to “better access to servers while still allowing for affordable living and all the other advantages that came with living in Atlanta,” the previously expected location of the team.
