FPX acquires Heroic Roster, debuts on Flashpoint 1

Worlds Champion FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) has entered the world of Counter-Strike after acquiring the Danish Heroic line-up.

FPX is a Chinese esports organization and is regarded as the best League of Legends team. There were early reports of the team wanting to expand to the CS:GO scene by trying to buy the Heroic roster, but it was only made official on March 12.

It can be concluded that right now, Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, Martin “stavn” Lund, Johannes “b0RUP” Borup, Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, Casper “cadiaN” Møller and their coach Frederik “LOMME” Nielsen are now playing under FPX. They will be the same roster who will be competing in Flashpoint 1.

Under Heroic, the team has placed 7th-8th at the ICE Challenge and failed to qualify for the Europe Minor.

Now under FPX, the people will have to see how the squad will fare. Phase 1 of the first edition of Flashpoint will begin on March 14 and will conclude during the grand finals on April 19.
