GamerLegion sign Draken
GamerLegion’s lineup is once again complete following the signing of William “draken” Sundin, the organization has announced.
The rumored move has officially come to fruition as the 24-year-old has been signed to take Tim “nawwk” Jonasson’s place in the roster after GamerLegion’s former AWPer left the team to join up with NiP.
draken was a free agent since November after parting ways with Japaleno, with whom he had only played for two months. Much of the last two years of the AWPer’s career have been riddled with similar periods of instability, as the longest he spent with a team since his time with NiP ended in mid-2018 was a four-month period with Red Reserve.
In that time, draken also played with fnatic, Uruguay — which became the foundation of the original GamerLegion version —, and Ancient and briefly stood in for Dennis “dennis” Edman in NiP before his second stint with the Ninjas came to an abrupt end.
Thanks to his experiences with the aforementioned teams, GamerLegion will be nothing new to the AWPer, who at one point or another played with all of the other four players. He spent the longest alongside Fredrik “freddieb” Buö, who emerged on the scene alongside draken in late 2015.
The Swedish team are currently competing in the first open qualifier ahead of the Europe Minor, where they are about to face off against Dignitas in the quarter-finals.
GamerLegion now have:
Fredrik “freddieb” Buö
Hampus “hampus” Poser
Alfred “RuStY” Karlsson
Dennis “dennis” Edman
