KYIV ANIMAJOR FINALS DAY

After two weeks of hard climbs and hard falls, the day has finally come for the top Dota 2 teams in the WePlay! Kyiv Animajor to see among themselves who is worthy of the title of champion. Teams have risen and fallen, newer teams have begun to make their mark in the Dota 2 pro scene, and old teams have remained steadfast in their fervor and passion as professionals.

Here is a recap of the matches that took place in today’s Animajor finals.

LOWER BRACKET FINALS

EVIL GENIUSES VS. T1 (2-1)

Arteezy’s Naga Siren puts Kuku and friends to sleep as Evil Geniuses secure the first game in the series against T1. 23Savage’s Terrorblade could just not do anything against the Naga + Tidehunter combo with the addition of Puck’s Dream Coil.

After an exciting back-and-forth, toe-to-toe game between the two teams, T1 manages to stay alive in the series by winning game 2 by cornering Evil Geniuses in their base and winning that last team fight in EG’s Bottom Barracks and then stealing Arteezy’s Divine Rapier, basically making the game unwinnable on EG’s side.

Evil Geniuses take game 3 as they stomp T1, leaving no space for 23Savagee’s Phantom Lancer to farm and allowing Cr1t and the gang to literally snowball their way to victory and and face off PSG.LGD in the Grand Finals.

GRAND FINALS

PSG.LGD VS. EVIL GENIUSES (2-0)

PSG.LGD make quick work of Evil Geniuses in game 1, stomping them like it was the Group stage matches. Ame brought out the Chinese favorite Position 1 Axe, and Arteezy and the gang just couldn’t stop the Red Mist himself from charging on to them, despite Abed stealing the Roshan kill and Aegis from PSG.LGD.

Game 2 was another sweep in favor of PSG.LGD, with NothingToSay’s Death Prophet domnating the midlane against Abed’s Storm Spirit.

Evil Geniuses never stood a chance against PSG.LGD as the Chinese team sweeps the NA team in a rather anti-climactic 3-0 sweep by Ame and the gang. The team wins 500 DPC points and secures a grand prize of $200,000.
