by Zena V. Magto Bisdako was just too much for  Gamersville. After sweeping the entire bo5 series, Bisdako will proceed to the main event of the AMD Summer League from June 8-14, 2020. GamersVille did not stand a chance against the all-Cebuano team. All three games lasted roughly 20 minutes each. GamersVille's last chance was during game 3, but Bisdako immediately shut down all of their core heroes. Bisdako pushed GamersVille back to their fountain. Unable to escape, GamersVille just called the GG. Bisdako and GamersVille to close Vis Qualifier of the AMD Summer League

by Zena V. Magto Visayas teams did not disappoint as all gave good performances during the semifinals of the AMD Summer League Visayas Qualifier. After a long bo3 series, it's either Bisdako or GamersVille who will represent the Visayas region during the playoffs round. All-Cebuano team Bisdako will face Leyte team GamersVille in a bo5 series. While GamersVille may feel pressure against the more experienced Bisdako roster, GamersVille was very dominating in today's games as the gap in experience against Hellion was apparent. In game 2, GamersVille's fat core heroes gave them the momentum they needed to make a comeback after losing game 1. In 28 minutes, Hellion's middle barracks fell, and the base was overwhelmed thereafter. Bisdako, on the...

Team Daddy already made its appearance in the recent Lockdown Online tournament, placing 9th-16th place after losing to Neon Esports. This week in Dota 2: TI10 delayed, 7.26c gameplay update released

Here’s your weekly round-up of the events that happened the past week.   The 10th iteration of The International is postponed, possibly until 2021. Valve also said that the whole Dota Pro Circuit season will be restructured to fall, or around the last quarter of the year. However, the Battle Pass will be released just a week later than the usual schedule. This means that we can expect its release in the next few weeks. The announcement was posted on dota2.com last April 30.   In response to 7.26b’s rather vague and collective update on heroes’ Talents, the 7.26c update released on May 3, featured major, more detailed reworks on heroes’ Talents. The update will surely change the meta...

TI10 to be delayed, possibly moved to 2021

Valve finally released their statement on how to deal with the tenth iteration of The International. In a melancholic but inevitable decision, The International will be delayed, possibly until 2021. The game developer also said that the whole Dota Pro Circuit season will be restructured to fall, or around the last quarter of the year. “Given the highly volatile landscape for local gathering restrictions, virus trajectory, and global travel policies, we don’t expect to have enough confidence to communicate firm dates in the near future,” part of the announcement said. There is a small positive note in the announcement, however, that the Battle Pass will be released just a week later than the usual schedule. This means that we...

Clean sweep for Fnatic, the SEA champs for the BTS Pro Series

They topped the group stage, they dominated the playoffs, and now they swept the grand finals. Team Fnatic's performance during the BTS Pro Series Southeast Asia is a reminder that they are the kings of Dota in the SEA region. And they ended it with a sweep, 3-0 during the grand finals, April 26. TNC Predator, the 1st runner up, did not stand a chance against Fnatic's strong team play. While they almost had it on game 2, Fnatic took advantage of TNC's wrong positioning at the 19th minute. Their good hero drafts paid off. Game 3 was seemingly one-sided. TNC Predator's draft was not executed well, as the match ended in just 29 minutes. Here are the results...

So much is going on this week. While the BTS Pro Series continue their playoffs round, WePlay! Pushka League also begins the group stage matches, all with well-acclaimed teams from Europe, Americas, CIS, and Southeast Asia. Although the coronavirus pandemic has impacted teams and events in some ways, esports has continued to show its resilience. Here’s a quick review of what happened this week in Dota. Dota legends ppd and Universe retire Veteran player Peter “ppd” Dager and Saahil “Universe” Aurora announced their retirement from the competitive scene just four days after. We can remember that Universe was released from the Ninjas in Pyjamas roster last April 7 because of the prevailing COVID-19 situation and the shift to more...

HellRaisers and Ninjas in Pyjamas lead in WePlay! Pushka League

Hellraisers and Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) started strong during the first day of the WePlay! Pushka League Division 1 group stage. With their new roster, NiP was able to bar OG Seed, 2-1. This makes it even since the same roster (formerly Chicken Fighters) was defeated by OG Seed during the qualifiers. Meanwhile, HellRaisers swept Natus Vincere 2-0. Na’Vi almost had it in game 2, but between trade kills, Hellraisers eventually dominated under 33 minutes. Fourteen teams compete in the WePlay! Pushka League, which started on April 23. The group stage will run until May 6, in which the top four teams from each region will proceed to the playoffs round, while the remainder will be eliminated. The online...
