Sarangani Province makes their first!

Lately news have spread of game fixing in MPBL about Sarangani Province (formerly SOCCSKSARGEN Marlins). Rosters and their management has been changed. Despite of that, Sarangani Province makes an impressive win last night (November 27) at their home game with a  score of 78-74. Playing their first home game before an overflow crowd and their benefactor, the Marlin stunned the Quezon City Capitals, 78-74, at Sarangani Capitol Gym to cut a string of 21 losses, all but one coming when they still carried the SOCCKSARGEN banner. All the Marlins needed was an 11-point salvo in the last two minutes to erase a 65-72 deficit and give local fans and Senator Manny Pacquiao, founder and CEO of MPBL which took over...

Christian Standhardinger, Michael Qualls and Sean Anthony were all Mr. Ironmen for NorthPort, all playing super extended minutes and each one delivering as the Batang Pier beat out the NLEX Road Warriors in a triple-overtime grind of a do-or-die setto to make the PBA semifinals for the second time in franchise history. Standhardinger, Qualls and Anthony all had hulking numbers, carrying NorthPort on their broad shoulders as they outlasted the Road Warriors, 126-123, in...

The Void? The Abyss? Kuro and co. hint to their new team

This year's Post-TI Roster-Shuffle brought a big surprise: the legendary players from Team Liquid surrounding captain Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi decided to leave the organisation after four years. After months of almost complete silence, they are now teasing their new team with cryptic pictures. Sunday evening, all players shared drawings of themselves staring at a black hole or solar eclipse – similar to Epic Game's marketing move for Fortnite's Season 2. While each player is glancing into space, the environment differs in each picture. Team Void, Team Eclipse, Team Black Hole, Astral, Enigma? Users already get creative when it comes to guessing the name of the new organisation, but so far there is no further information. Kuro that the most recent...

The Philippine-based squad of Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, Timothy "Tims" Randrip, Armel "Armel" Tabios, Australian Damien "kpii" Chok, and Korean Park "March" Tae-won had to take the longer and harder route to capture the revamped roster's second trophy, following the one from ESL One Hamburg in Germany. TNC was almost unstoppable to start the tournament, sweeping Group A in the preliminaries and losing just one playoff match to Alliance. After they took care of business against J.Storm (2-0), the Southeast Asian group had the tables turned on them by hometown team Vici Gaming in...

Liquid sends Alliance home!

Former Alliance squad (Team Liquid) dominated on their lower bracket game versus Alliance with a score of 2-0. Nikobaby and the squad didn't even get a chance to make a stand on their match-up with the former Alliance team. Game 1: Alliance  ES + Morph combo didn't shine against Faceless Void + LC near the Dire bottom bounty rune clash. ES+Morph almost takes down Void, but a perfect chrono set-up with the help of LC, takes the ES+Morph winning moment on that clash. Thus then ending the game at 54 minutes mark. Game 2: Faceless Void + Timbersaw (Liquid) was too much for a Drow + Gyro + Puck (Alliance). Alliance took their first tower push together with the squad...

However, the players are still being sanctioned as "the San Miguel organization does not tolerate unsportsmanlike behavior." As of today, the Beermen...
