NEO, TAZ TO SPEARHEAD NEW PROJECT

Filip “NEO” Kubski and Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas have announced that they will stick together in a new team, with a recruiting process already underway.

The Polish pair had reunited in December after almost two years apart, briefly playing together in a team called ARCYwho ended up disbanding in January following roster instability and a series of sub-par displays.

Details about the project are still scarce at this stage, though in a press release it is explained that “a recruitment process is being conducted to establish cooperation with the most talented and promising players in the Polish CS:GO scene.”

“It’s obvious that Neo and I needed time to work through our past,” TaZ said in a statement. “When you have played with someone for so many years, spent so much time together and shared moments of both glory and defeat, it’s difficult to sort things out.

“Time has worked in our favor though. It showed that the bond we have is much bigger than only the game we play together.”

NEO and TaZ played together for 14 years on iconic Polish teams such as Pentagram, Meet Your Makers and Virtus.pro, winning some of the biggest trophies in the history of the franchise, including one CS:GO Major, in 2014.

The pair split in February 2018, when TaZ was benched by Virtus.pro, who later sold him to Kinguin. Later that year, the CIS-based organisation also removed NEO, who went on to play for FaZe as a stand-in between May and September 2019, making his final appearance for the team at the StarLadder Major.
