xand becomes a free agent after leaving INTZ
Alexandre “xand” Zizi has become a free agent following his departure from INTZ, the player announced on Twitter.
In the Tweet announcing his departure, the 24-year-old revealed that he is on the lookout for a new team from Brazil, Europe, or North America, stating that he is able to speak English and is fluent in Spanish as well as in Portuguese.
xand’s time with INTZ ends after a nearly year-and-a-half-long tenure as one of two remaining members of the roster previously known as NoTag that was signed to the Brazilian organization in September 2018.
In that time, he and Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes played alongside a variety of teammates including the likes of João “felps” Vasconcellos and Vito “kNgV-“ Giuseppe, who ended up leaving the team during 2019 to join MIBR.
xand and the team most notably qualified for the StarLadder Major New Challengers Stage after placing third in the Minor Play-In beforehand, with losses to North, Vitality, and Grayhound seeing them exit the first stage of the Major in last place.
More recently, INTZ were able to requalify for ESL Pro League after topping the most recent MDL season and win WINNERS League Season 3, but they missed out on LAN appearances in early 2020 after unsuccessful campaigns in qualifiers for DreamHack Open stops in Leipzig and Anaheim.
INTZ are left with:
Gustavo “yel” Knittel
Ricardo “boltz” Prass
Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes
Bruno “shz” Martinelli
Alessandro “Apoka” Marcucci (coach)
