XIZT LEAVES FNATIC
fnatic have announced that they have bid farewell to Richard “Xizt” Landström with immediate effect.
The Swedish tactician leaves fnatic after spending the last four months on the bench, with a recent report linking him with a move to Dignitas to reunite with three of his former NiP teammates.
Xizt returned to fnatic in May 2018 following a first stint with the organization between 2010 and 2012. He led the team to victory at PLG Grand Slam and to runner-up finishes at StarSeries i-League Season 7 and IEM Sydney 2019 before stepping down from the active lineup in August together with Simon “twist” Eliasson after run of poor form that culminated with a failed qualification campaign for the StarLadder Major.
Xizt parts ways with fnatic.
fnatic ended the year on a high note with Maikil “Golden” Selim and Robin “flusha” Rönnquist back on the roster, returning to the top five in the world rankings after winning DreamHack Masters Malmö and placing second at StarSeries i-League Season 8 and the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.
Having been left out in the cold as the invites for BLAST Premier were handed out, the Swedish side will return to action only IEM Katowice, which will be held from February 25 through March 1. Golden’s status remains unclear as he rejoined the team on a loan deal from Cloud9 that was valid until the end of 2019.
fnatic’s lineup look as follows:
Jesper “JW” Wecksell
Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
Maikil “Golden” Selim (loan)
Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson (coach)
A farewell.
We thank @Xizt for not only returning to Fnatic, but reminding us of his eternally mindful approach to life and CS:GO.
