Zoo closed: Dota 2 meta now open for pub shattering 7.27 gameplay

With nerfs from items that prompted the evolution of the “zoo meta,” Dota 2 pros and players in general squabble to discover the new Ancient-shattering meta.

The 7.27 patch introduced two new items, and a few notable item nerfs that should give a refreshing ambiance towards the gameplay.

Two new basic items have been added to the game namely Blitz Knuckles and Voodoo Mask.

Blitz Knuckles a basic item that costs 1000 gold and provides +35 attack speed.

Voodoo Mask a basic item that grants +12% Spell Lifesteal.

With the game’s addition of these two new basic items, some core items have now been tweaked on the aspects of buffs and composition.

Following the closure of DOTA 2’s patch 7.26 the items Helm of the Dominator and Necronomicon that defined the 7.26 patch or the “Zoo Meta” have been nerfed on the grounds of aura buffs and stats.

In Dota 2’s development forum Icefrog stated that patch 7.27 will start with a focus on item changes, economy, and general adjustments, and will be followed with hero-focused changes.
