Ceb steps down from OG’s Dota 2 roster
In the past few days, the magnificent OG Dota 2 roster has seen a few of its players leaving the ranks, now it seems as though another player is moving on as Sébastien ‘Ceb’ Debs announces his departure.
Just two days ago it was confirmed that Anathan ‘Ana’ Pham, one of the amazing, double TI-winning players from OG would not be returning for The International 2020 later this year, moving to inactive on the teams’ roster. Following this, Jesse ‘JerAx’ Vainikka decided to leave the roster, pushing them down to only three. But now, another day later, Sébastien ‘Ceb’ Debs has announced that he will also be moving to inactive on the roster.
Sometimes building a legacy requires to step out from the light.
While still active in the roster @Ceb_dota is changing direction and will focus on helping OG players reach their potential.

In a statement released by the player, Ceb discusses his motivation for moving to inactive as well as his future within the OG organization.
It is time for me to take a step back and remove myself from the active roster. I will be taking a role within OG in which I will be able to help all teams and players with increasing their performance. Whether it is DotA or CSGO, OG is now a home for great champions to come. I’ll be able to put my experience to even better use alongside these talents. I do not want this to sound like a definitive retirement, even though it could very well end up being it. I love the surprises that comes with life; therefore, I’ll always keep every door open.”
From the statement, it is clear that Ceb will still be active within OG, although possibly never return to the active Dota 2 roster and you can find the full statement from Ceb here.
With the new OG True Sight premiering tomorrow, we’ll be able to relive some of the most amazing moments from OG at The International 2019 and feel some nostalgia for the team that lifted the Aegis of Champions twice in a row. For now, the OG roster remains as just two players, although we do know that they will participate at the upcoming Major qualifiers – so it remains to be seen who will fill the shoes of these three amazing players and join the OG ranks.
OG current roster:
- Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen
- Johan “N0tail” Sundstein
