Black^ and inYourdreaM team up with Forev at T1
Despite the lack of results in the first rounds of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit qualifiers, the League of Legends giant, T1, pushes forward with the Dota 2 project as they recruit four new players to fight for a ticket at the upcoming ESL One Los Angeles Major.
T1’s new Dota 2 roster locked in today, January 21st, on the official Majors registration page. The line-up features Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, who is the only European player to join the Southeast Asian squad. Balck^ comes off a pretty long competitive break and another hand injury. His last adventure was with Infamous, pre TI9. He, along with a couple of other players, got removed from the SA squad in the aftermath of EPICENTER 2019, later on, Infamous deciding to drop the entire Dota 2 team to temporarily sign Team Anvorgesa (now known as beastcoast).
During TI9, Black^ took part in the Moonduck alternative live coverage from Denver, Colorado and on the grand finals day, he managed to fracture his right arm humerus bone during an arm wrestling with one of the fans present at the viewing party.
Unfortunately, the injury forced him to miss the start of a new competitive season for the second time in a row. Instead of playing, which he wanted the most, he had to join again the analyst desks at LAN tournaments, with his latest appearance being at the ONE Esports Singapore Invitational. Now fully healed, he is already in Southeast Asia in a bootcamp with T1.
Alongside Black^, the new T1 roster features the Indonesian prodigy, Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky, who back in 2017 became the first player to hit 9k MMR by playing via SEA servers. He started the new season at BOOM Esports, however at the beginning of this month he was moved to inactive status, and it seems that the wait wasn’t that long for him before finding a new opportunity. The offlane role at T1 is still Forev’s, but the support duties will be now taken by the former Demon Slayers position 5 player Yixaun “xuan” Guo, while Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro from PG.Barracx joins as the fourth position.
T1 current roster:
- Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier
- Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
- Lee “Forev” Sang-don
- Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
- Yixaun “xuan” Guo
