Match delayed: Team Dendingot and Meister faces technical issues on their first day
by Zena V. Magto
Team Dendingot was able to secure a win but not before technical issues walked up to their match. The match was supposed to start at 1:00 PM, but it was delayed for almost an hour due to connectivity issues.
One of the players from Team Dendingot got disconnected right after picking heroes and was forced to re-lobby. All Pick was used instead of Captain’s Mode, with players choosing the same heroes.
Roughly 10 minutes after re-lobbying, Meister was not able to reconnect immediately. Marshalls of the match raised a 10-minute deadline for meisters to reconnect, or else Team Dendingot wins by default.
Fortunately, the Meisters made it, and the match continued. However, because of the delay, organizers have imposed that there will no longer be in-game pauses during the duration of their match.
Twenty minutes in, and Meisters was not in good shape. Team Dendingot’s Shadow Fiend takes over a lane, which is the turning point of the match.
After a 20-minute brawl, Team Dendingot was able to push back the Meisters and eventually won, 33-14.
Lance “Lord Grim” Pelaez reigns as the MVP of the match, with 11 kills, 1 death, and 6 assists. The hero he used was Gyrocopter, which gave the team a good chance early in the game until the end.
