ANIMAJOR DAY 3 PLAYOFF RESULTS

It’s day 3 of the playoffs as we finish some Upper Bracket matches for the playoffs today. Here is a recap of the games we’ve covered over at Southside Tambayan!

 

TEAM SPIRIT VS. VICI GAMING (0-2)

Team Spirit had a strong lead in the early game, but Old Eleven’s successful Dooms on Team Spirit effectively makes every fight a guaranteed 4v5, helping VG take the lead and eventually force Team Spirit to call GG, which they should have called earlier in game 2 as VG once again sweep-kicks Team Spirit, causing the latter to lose the series 2-nil in favor of Vici Gaming.

 

TNC PREDATOR VS EVIL GENIUSES (1-2)

Despite some “small talk” done during the early game with Gabbi saying the “t-word”, Abed and Evil Geniuses take game 1 against TNC Predator with the help of a midlane Puck and an overall well-rounded draft.

TNC Predator take back control of the game as they win one momentous team fight against Evil Geniuses, effectively tying the series and once again forcing out a game 3.

Evil Geniuses strong-arm their way into winning game 3 as they led with Arteezy’s Nature’s Prophet and Abed’s Ember Spirit. And just like that, TNC Predator’s Animajor journey has come to and end.

 

TEAM NIGMA VS. PSG.LGD (1-2) 

PSG.LGD take game 1 by storm with the help of Ame’s Terrorblade, terrorizing Nigma’s rather squishy draft, thus being easily spat on by PSG.LGD’s aggressive yet disciplined play.

Team Nigma’s Io-Gyrocopter duo and a Miracle-driven Templar Assassin powered through PSG.LGD’s defensive draft and managed to secure a win, forcing the series into a game 3.

PSG.LGD prove that they are the better team as they obliterate Team Nigma despite the latter managing to force a game 3. The stomp was largely due in part to Nigma’s inability to delay the scaling of Ame’s Phantom Lancer and also due to the Gyrcopter ban over from the side of PSG.LGD.

 

T1 VS. QUINCY CREW (2-1)

Quinn and his crew make quick work of T1 in the first game, with Quinn’s Death Prophet leading the charge.

Karl’s Doom doomed Quincy Crew as that one crucial clash around the Roshan pit was all it took for T1 to nearly wipe out Quincy Crew and leave them buyback-less just enough to force it to game 3.

T1 managed to take the win and close out the series with a win in their favor, making their journey in the Upper Bracket unceasing and are well to the next phase of the Animajor.
