BLAST Bounty Hunt Dota 2 features dynamic prize pool, fan prediction games

A new Dota 2 tournament with a fresh format is coming soon around June.

BLAST Bounty Hunt Dota 2 will feature six top teams not only in Europe but also around the world.

Teams will compete for a dynamic prize pool of $145,000. Each team will start with base money, and then collect bounties and bonuses by winning matches. The top two seeds will start at $20,000, while the rest of the teams will have $15,000.

Forty percent of a team’s bounty is up for grabs in each match, plus extra bonus money that teams can bank. This means that teams can win more

“A winning team with an unbeaten record could walk away with up to $51,120 plus with additional bounties won, teams can be winning up to $96,000,” part of their official announcement stated.

Confirmed teams who will participate in the tournament are from OG, Team Secret, Team Nigma, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Alliance, and Team Liquid.

Apart from the main tournament, $5,000 from the prize pool will be dedicated to a fan prediction game where audiences at home can win prizes by predicting winners, the number of bounties collected, and other twists.

The tournament will begin on June 9-13, where teams will be seeding each other and will be playing in a BO3 double-elimination bracket and a BO5 final.
