Complexity comes out swinging in debut, building 4-0 record

In a first look at the new “juggernaut” Complexity lineup in action, the team put up a solid performance. Competing in the IEM Katowice closed qualifier, Complexity went 4-0 in maps in best-of-three victories of the new Gen.G lineup and Chaos.

The first series was against Gen.G and both teams were looking to prove themselves. Gen.G picked train but it seems Complexity was more than ready on the map with Valentin “poizon” Vasilev showing just how capable he is with the AWP on the lane heavy map. poizon would finish the 16-10 map one victory with a +17 kill-to-death differential and 113.9 average damage per round.

Mirage would be a much closer affair as Complexity climbed back from a 15-10 deficit to force overtime thanks in part to a 4k 1v3 clutch from Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke. It was all Complexity in OT as they won out 4-0 to seal the series 2-0 over Gen.G. Owen “oBo” Schlatter was the only Complexity player to finish with a negative record in the match.

Fear not, however, as it was the oBo show in the squads second outing. Taking on Chaos, oBo led the charge across both maps, putting up a 24-10 record in a 16-4 win on Dust2.

He wasn’t done there either as the young talent went 24-16 on Nuke where coL won 16-11. No player from Complexity found themselves negative at the end of the series, a good omen for the new squad. Benjamin “blameF” Bremer once again showcased his ability to frag and lead at the same time, finishing the Chaos series with a +8 k/d differential and 83.3 ADR.

Complexity is due to take on Cloud9’s new lineup (previously ATK) in the next round of the IEM Katowice closed qualifier.
