Dendi officially introduces his new team

It’s been three months since Danil “Dendi” Ishutin announced his intention of creating his own organization. Not much has been said since September when he openly talked about his plans for the first time. However, in the second round of regional qualifiers for Major and Minor tournaments, he played with a stack that now is introduced as the official roster.

Dendi released a video on his Youtube channel last night to explain all the recruitment process and to give an update to his fans. The roster is complete, but he is not ready to fully reveal the organization.

“I can say that everything is in the process, the team, the organization, are all on the go. A lot of people are helping, a lot of people are involved […] But as it turned out, this is not as simple as I imagined and thought about it. This all takes a very long time, different negotiations and so on and so forth,” said Dendi

The video was recorded at the end of a bootcamp his new team was on during the open qualifiers for the DreamLeague Major and the WePlay! Minor. The qualifiers weren’t successful, but the Dota 2 legend said that he feels that the bootcamp overall all was very fruitful. Dendi and his new team were hosted last month by Team Spirit at their training facility, and since their host qualified for the Minor and Na’Vi qualified for the major, Dendi took the time to also congratulate them.

Talking about his own project, he explained: “Initially, I tried to assemble a team using a certain technique, I understood that I needed a skeleton from which to build on.” The skeleton is formed by himself, Nikola “LeBronDota” Popović and Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey, players with whom he fought side by side in the past.

Dendi about how he chose each player:

Lebron: “I know exactly what to expect from Lebron, he improved very much since Na’Vi. And at the same time I also really like him as a person and as a player, he is very hardworking, he is a workaholic and I was sure that he would be able to support me in many aspects.”

V-Tune: “I have also played with V-Tune and I liked how he plays, how he behaves in the game. He seemed to me a very adequate guy, and he made a very pleasant impression on me.”

KingR: “I did not play with him on a team, but there are a lot of insanely positive, good reviews about him. I also knew that he wanted to play position 4 and that’s exactly what we were missing”

nongrata: “KingR suggested nongrata for the offlane position so, I wrote to Alexey, he agreed and that’s how we have assembled our roster.”

Dendi’s final roster:

  • Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey
  • Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
  • Alexey “nongrata” Vasilyev
  • Rinat “KingR” Abdullin
  • Nikola “LeBronDota” Popović

The five of them will play in February for a shot at making it into the regional closed qualifiers for the third round of Dota Pro Circuit tournaments. The open qualifiers for the ESL One Los Angeles Major and the Minor preceding will take place on the first week of February 2020.
