ESL One confirms postponement of LA Majors

ESL One finally stepped in – The ESL One Los Angeles Majors will be postponed (in contrary to earlier reports) until organizers have sorted out the new venue and dates.

This was supposed to be LA’s first ESL One Dota Major, but after the United States banned all travels from Europe, the organizers had to pull back to ensure the “well-being of our players, attendees, coaches, partners, and ESL staff.”

“In light of the recent travel restrictions and the evolving COVID-19 situation, ESL is postponing the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota 2 Major,” part of the announcement said.

Earlier, rumors have been circulating online whether the Major was going to be cancelled or postponed.

Fans who have secured tickets for the event should expect an email from the organizers to process their refund. The organizers assured that they are in close coordination with ticket providers.

While many are worried about how the circuit will continue, ESL One is asking for everyone’s understanding, since the health and security of all the participants is a priority.

“We are deeply disappointed but believe this outcome is in the best interest of all the people who make these incredible events possible,” ESL One said.

Several teams have already assured fans that their players are safe and are now looking for ways to get the players home safely.

“Please stay calm fam, as we are currently making arrangements to make sure our geeks get back home safely,” Geek Fam posted on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Team Adroit, who recently announced their stand-in, also assured that the players are already doing precautionary measures in the light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
