The three-day event starts on Friday, featuring seven of the HLTV top 30 teams in the world in an eight team field. All of these rosters feature new faces, new branding, or both. RIOT SQUAD PART WAYS WITH FNS

Riot Squad have announced the release of in-game leader Pujan "FNS" Mehta. FNS spent just over six months as the captain of Riot Squad, initially joining the roster alongside Jonathan "Jonji" Carey in August 2019. The team found quick success as they earned a spot at the MSI MGA Finals, while simultaneously solidifying themselves as a top-three team in the North American division of ESEA MDL Season 32. A pair of narrow 14-16 losses to ex-Epsilon and ViCi at Riot Squad's MSI MGA Finals appearance left the team battling through a plethora of online qualifiers and events, most notably the online component of ECS Season 8 and ESEA MDL. While Riot Squad failed to find success in any of their ECS Season 8 week appearances, a flawless run through the playoff bracket of ESEA MDL S32 gave...

2020 NBA All-Star Game starters announced: LeBron James, Giannis named captains

Christmas Day in the NBA is not just a day for the league to take over the sports calendar and showcase its best teams and players in a number of prime-time games. It's also the start of voting for the All-Star Game, and now, nearly a month later, the polls are closed, votes have been tallied and we know the 10 starters for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game. Just as a reminder, fan voting accounts for only 50 percent of the final voting tally. Coaches and players also send in votes of their own, and those account for 25 percent each. Also, because the league doesn't do the traditional Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format anymore, the teams are picked by captains....

TALENT LINEUP ANNOUNCED FOR “B SITE” LEAGUE

The broadcast team for the league tentatively named "B Site" has been announced. A tweet from the Esports Championship Series (ECS) account revealed nine talent members that would take part in "a new CS:GO League" in March 2020, adding credence to an earlier report from DBLTAP that indicated that FACEIT would pull the plug on ECS and turn focus to producing B Site. Notably, B Site's concurrent overlap with ESL Pro League means that the below talent members will not be a part of ESL's broadcast lineup for EPL, leaving many of CS:GO's most notable on-air talent already tied to one side of a tug-of-war between the two leagues. The lineup features a number of familiar names, including that of Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat. While the announcement...

Topson confirms he will return to OG, shuts down replacement rumors

Godson won’t be bowing out of the competition just yet. OG’s players have taken an extended break from competitive Dota 2 after winning each of the last two Internationals, which, while they are always well deserved after a long season, always tend to cause the rumor about roster changes within the community. Last year, Anathan “ana” Pham was the sole focus of the community’s speculation since he took a longer break than the rest of the team, but this year Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen was added to the list, too. But in a single post, the polarizing mid player put rumors about him leaving OG to rest. On his Instagram, Topson simply posted an image of him staring down the camera with a slight...

Beastcoast outplayed the TI7 champs Nigma!

The WePlay! Bukovel Minor Champions, Team Nigma got eliminated from the Leipzig Major only on the 9th-12th place by beastcoast, who displayed a lot of versatility and willingness to take risks in order to keep the SA Dota hope alive in the tournament. Nigma started the series on the wrong foot, being taken by surprise by a mid lane Broodmother. They were planning for the long haul and the big team fights with Phantom Lancer, Outworld Devourer and Chen. But beastcoast, who actually struggled in the early laning stage, messed with Nigma’s game past the 15-minute mark, when Brood got her Orchid and was able to focus down its targets. Game two went into the Minor Champions favor, but not...

WESG has not yet released any information about the new dates or the location of the event, with further details expected after this week's Lunar New Year celebrations. The WESG APAC Finals will...

Geek Fam release captain DuBu

Concluded last week, the WePlay! Bukovel Minor was the second chance for Geek Fam to make it to a Dota Pro Circuit Major via Minor games, but while their performance overall was definitely better than what they’ve been showing at the beginning of the new season, they finished only on third place, missing the tickets to the Leipzig Major. In the tournament aftermath, the Southeast Asian team announces another roster change. This time around they waved goodbye to their captain, Kim “DuBu” Doo-young who was on the roster since the very beginning of the season. “We were blessed to have you as part of the fam and we will cherish the moments spent with us,” posted Geek Fam on Twitter....
