ESL One Birmingham 2020 online qualifiers starts on May 8


ESL finally released the dates of their open and closed qualifiers, which will simultaneously start on May 8-10. The premier Dota 2 tournament has been converted into an online league after the ongoing coronavirus pandemic pushed the organizers to re-evaluate the event. Four qualifiers will be held for teams hailing in Europe, CIS, America, China, and Southeast Asia starting on May 8-10, while the closed qualifiers will start on May 12-14. In a melancholic but inevitable decision, The International will be delayed, possibly until 2021.
