Almazan’s injury update, day by day status

Raymond Almazan's status is day to day but, with or without him, the Meralco Bolts will go all-out to put the best stand possible against the Barangay Ginebra Kings in their PBA Governors Cup title playoff. At posting time, the Meralco management and coaching staff were still awaiting official reading of Almazan's MRI test taken right away after hurting his left knee in an awkward fall early in Game Three. The Gin Kings took advantage of Almazan's early exit, making a massive explosion in the third period on the way to a 92-84 win and a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven title playoff. Almazan has been a difference-maker for Meralco in this tourney, but his injury right can now be...

Envy to bring on Calyx & LEGIJA

Envy is looking to complete their roster with the addition of some Europeans according to a report from DBLTAP. The North American organization is seeking out Buğra “Calyx” Arkın to help fill out their roster and Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić to serve as coach. The coaching role was left vacant after Zachary “Eley” Stauffer and the organization parted ways around the same time as the departure of Sam “s0m” Oh to Gen.G. Since then Envy has also benched Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor, leaving the lineup down to just three members. This would be Calyx’s first real team since the dismantling of the ex-Space Soldiers lineup in late 2018. The Turkish rifler had a brief stint in a trial role with Windigo prior to...

New Gen.G and Complexity rosters unable to qualify in debuts

It wasn’t the best week if you’re a Complexity and Gen.G fan hoping for a big first outing. Both of the organization’s new lineups didn’t succeed in their first attempts to qualify for events in 2020. Complexity looked strong at times but fell short of the finals in the IEM Katowice 2020 North America closed qualifier and then took two 16-14 losses to Cloud9 in the DreamHack Open Leipzig North American closed qualifier to end their run. In a similar fashion to the IEM Katowice qualifier, William “RUSH” Wierzba and Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke were lacking in firepower, performing at the bottom of the scoreboard for Complexity. Both players have a history of being able to perform at the highest level...

But for many fans, these stars still paled in comparison to a legend of the game. Also in attendance was Dota 2 legend Danil "Dendi" Ishutin. The longtime Natus Vincere mid laner was working the Russian analyst desk for the tournament, giving his insight on how the games were playing out and the emotional state the different teams might be in. TRICKED MAKE CS:GO RETURN WITH NEW DANISH SQUAD

Tricked make their return to competitive CS:GO with the signing of a team featuring three former members of maquinas and two of ex-Fragsters players. The Danish team are headlined by Nicolai "torben" Amorim, who was part of the Fragsters squad that peaked at No.23 in the world rankings in 2018. He will be joined in this new adventure by Magnus "Toft" Toft after the duo played in ex-Fragsters and in the Söderberg & Partners lineup that placed top six at last year's Copenhagen Games. Another standout name in the new Tricked team is Oliver "kwezz" Rasmussen, who attended the first group stage of ESL Pro League Season 10 Europe with OpTic following René "cajunb" Borg's departure to North. He brings in two of his former maquinas teammates, Andreas "kiR" Kirstein and Philip "Lucky" Ewald, to complete the roster, which marks Tricked's return to activity after the organisation lost their previous roster to MAD Lions last month. LaNm leaves Keen Gaming, joins Team Sirius as a coach

LaNm is on the move again, but will continue as a coach. Zhang "LaNm" Zhicheng known to be a coach on Keen Gaming leaves his former team this time to coach Team Sirius. Keen Gaming got off to a very slow start to the Dota 2 2019-20 season despite only swapping out one player from the squad that made an impressive run last year. That slow start prompted legendary Dota 2 player Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng to leave his coaching position with the organization to find a better fit for his skill set. It appears that this move was in the works for several weeks now as LaNm was allowed to transfer directly to Team Sirius without having his contract terminated by Keen. The negotiations between...

MAD LIONS, HEROIC QUALIFY FOR DREAMHACK OPEN LEIPZIG 2020

The European closed qualifier for DreamHack Open Leipzig has reached its conclusion, with MAD Lions and Heroic locking down spots at the $100,000 event. Once again a regional qualifier in Europe proved to be a gruelling process for the attending teams as the DreamHack qualifier hosted a multitude of closely-contested matchups to determine the two teams heading to the event in Leipzig. The opening round of the closed bracket saw Secret push Heroic to their limit and SKADE bring the best out of MAD Lions in two narrow three-map series before the Danes ultimately prevailed. Meanwhile, Gambit Youngsters overcame the newly-formed Heretics side, while a 1.44-rated performance from Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo was not enough to prevent defeat for his team, CR4ZY, against Defusekids. In the semi-finals, MAD Lions made short work of Defusekids in a swift 2-0 series to keep up their qualifying streak, just two...

Duster’s Interview at WePlay Bukovel Minor. does CSGO have better system over DOTA2?

WePlay!Bukovel Minor marked the LAN debut for Furia, an organization that entered the Dota 2 scene by giving a shot to a few talented new players led by Heitor “Duster” Pereira, who is the only one the roster with international tournament experience. We had the chance to sit and talk to Duster about Furia’s future plans, about the volatile South American scene and what prevents the teams there from staying together for more than a few weeks, about the players’ mentality and much more. *** Hi Duster, thank you very much for talking to us, despite Furia’s results here at the Bukovel Minor. This was the first LAN appearance for all your teammates, and I’d like to start this interview...

The first tier 5 neutral items in the Dota Pro Circuit just dropped at the Bukovel Minor

Ever since Dota 2 lead developer IceFrog introduced tier five items into the game, fans have wished for its appearance in the pro circuit. Game two of the WePlay! Bukovel Minor grand finals between Royal Never Give Up and Nigma saw those items drop for the first time in a hectic 80-minute battle. RNG were in control for most of the game, taking down two lanes of barracks at the 50-minute mark. It looked to be smooth-sailing from then on, but this won’t be the first game where RNG’s tendency to throw reared its ugly head. RNG’s mid laner Gao “Setsu” Zhengxiong was having a fantastic game on Queen of Pain. A vast overestimation on his part meant that he committed an...
