Requiem and Ravage; Double Rs spell victory for Team Adroit, as they beat Boom Esports | ONE Esports SEA League

In a thrilling best of 3 elimination match that will decide on which team will continue their run on ONE Esports’ SEA League, Teams Adroit and NEW Esports duke it out in the defense of the ancients only to find out that neither team would throw in the towel.

In a grueling first round, it was a steady back and forth of the net worth climb, and core-item races between both teams, yet the difference came out from the hero compositions that the teams opted for, BOOM Esports’ Position 5 player, Brizio Adi “Hyde-” Putra did spectacularly well in his Winter Wyvern gameplay, landing every Winter’s Curse perfectly on the most valuable play-making heroes from Adroit, preempting Adroit’s Midlaner Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva from setting up the perfect team fights for his team with a timely Reverse Polarity.

Game 1’s pace proved to be gruesome for Adroit as they called GG nearly 40 minutes into the game, after losing their position 1 Troll Warlord along with two heroes with no buybacks in a team fight.

Game 2 however was a wave, completely in favor of Team Adroit, John Anthony “Natsumi-” Vargas’ signature hero, Morphling proved to be a creature that other teams should not trifle with.

Boom Esports called GG 28 minutes in, after losing three of their heroes in a team fight inside the Rosh Pit, game 2 ended with a final kill score of 5 – 24 in favor of Team Adroit.

After Boom Esports was forced into a tie-breaker match, the battlefield is no longer a mistake-forgiving arena. Game 3 played on like Beethoven’s symphonies as players time their spells perfectly one after another, Boom Esports played on with a spell-caster intensive lineup, leading their fray is a Midlane Invoker, paired up with dream-shattering offlane Puck, a combination that is set to either burst or displace their adversaries.

Boom Esports Game 3 Lineup

1 – Dreamocel -Anti-Mage
2 – Mikoto – Invoker
3 – Fbz – Puck
4 – Khezcute – Chen
5 – Hyde- – Tiny

Team Adroit’s final draft was a team-fight oriented lineup with heavy cool-downs, Team Adroit has to play their cards well and their timings must come out in a near-perfect manner as game 3 is no longer a room made for mistakes.

Team Adroit’s Game 3 Lineup

1 – Natsumi – Terrorblade
2 – Mac – Shadow Fiend
3 – Bok – Vengeful Spirit
4 – Boomy – Tide Hunter
5 – cml – Treant Protector

Boom Esports started game 3 with a huge gold lead, playing around Team Adroit’s heavy cooldowns, Boom Esports ran circles around Team Adroit early on in the game, forcing them into team fights that they are not supposed to take, constant rotations towards the midlane, forces Mac into a corner, while Natsumi’s Terrorblade is drastically pressured with constant 4-man rotations in his lane.

Even with Boom Esports’ pressure-heavy gameplay, it was at minute 11 where Team Adroit had their first breath of fresh air when a 5-man rotation towards the bottom lane from Boom Esports turned heavily against them as Marvin “Boomy” Rushton swoops in and lands a 3-man Ravage, which was instantly followed up with a fear inciting Requiem of Souls by Mac’s Shadowfiend.

This combination from both Mac and Boomy was the pivotal point of Team Adroit’s siege towards a gruesome game 3 decision match, minute-57 came and it was the 3rd phase of Roshan’s resurrection, both teams fixated this moment to be the forefront objective on closing the series. Boom Esports’ Dreamocel blinked straight to the pit. Chaos erupted between both teams.

Hyde- Boom Esports’ Position 5 Tiny tried to stall as much time but was instantly denied by insane right-click damages from Team Adroit’s heroes, and with pure bravado, Boomy’s Tidehunter lands a clutch ravage that instantly displaces the rest of Boom Esports, and leads to a successful claim of the 3rd aegis.

Following their small team-fight victory from the pit, Team Adroit rushes to destroy as many structures as they can in Boom Esports’ base.

In an attempt to out-position Team Adroit in their final siege on Radiant’s top lane, Boom Esports opted for a smoke gank on the back-lines however, it was at this moment that Boomy’s clutch-favoring Ravage hits Dreamocel’s Anti-Mage in point-blank range allowing the rest of Team Adroit to jump in and instantly slay the bedazzled carry who already expended his buyback, which prompted New Esports to raise the white flag and call-in GG after a 62-minute thriller match.

The rest of ONE Esports SEA League playoffs will continue at 14:00 SGT today. Team Adroit will be facing Geek Fam in the lower bracket at 14:00 SGT.
