Aster.Fade not sure if team can go to ESL Major

Team Aster successfully qualified for ESL One Los Angeles 2020 after winning the Starladder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3, but visa issues with three of their players might forfeit their team to the big event.

Aster’s team captain Pan “Fade” Yi expressed this concern in Weibo posted right after their win.

Part of the post said, “I’m glad to win the minor, but now the visa is a bit troublesome, I don’t know if I can go to the major” along with three crying emojis.

Song “Sccc” Chun (Position 1), Kee Chyuan “ChYuan” Ng (Position 2) and Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao (Position 4) did not apply for US Visas back in China, making Ukraine their only option to apply.

The previous month, the team also had to hold their Bootcamp in Southeast Asia without their coach, Yao “QQQ” Yi due to COVID-19. The team is temporarily coached by Team Sirius’ Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng during the minor. LaNm led the team to win after his aid in choosing heroes and strategies.

This major has already seen a team being reduced due to visa issues. Team Adroit will be competing without their captain Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton after his US visa application was denied.
