DPC Season in a stand-still: Singapore Major canceled
The last major of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit Season has been canceled in response to the tightening measures set around the globe due to the coronavirus pandemic, as confirmed by both organizers, ONE Esports and PGL Esports.
In a Twitter announcement by PGL Esports, the “global situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the current regulations in Singapore” pushed them to regrettably cancel the event.

In a separate statement, ONE Esports also said that the “Singapore government has announced that gatherings of more than 250 people have to be suspended until June 30.” The major was set to happen on June 20-28.
However in the statement, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational set to take place on July 1-5 in Jakarta, Indonesia will get later dates after the Indonesian government suspended issuing permits for events.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ONE Esports will change its schedule of events.

The Singapore Major was supposed to be the last event before the 10th iteration of The International, which was also delayed by Valve because of the coronavirus impacting the globe.
The cancellation puts the whole DPC Season to a halt.
Last April 30, Valve promised to release the Battle Pass early for fans who are still up for the hype. They also said that they will be restructuring the DPC Season to the last quarter of the year.
