From 16 teams, only four remain to brawl in the semifinals of the AMD Summer League Visayas Qualifier.

Team Daddy will face Bisdako while GamersVille will battle against Hellion. The semifinals tomorrow, May 15, will be a bo3 series.

The winning teams will then proceed to a bo5 weekly final the next day.

Team Daddy already made its appearance in the recent Lockdown Online tournament, placing 9th-16th place after losing to Neon Esports.

Bisdako, on the other hand, has three players from the former Harlie Is Black roster. With their new addition, they seem to have a better standing in the current league.

“I think our enemies are quite strong and formidable but we’re quite confident that we can win this qualifier if we just keep on doing our best,” said Matthew Trinidad of Bisdako.

The roster of GamersVille is composed of some players from the Bachelors‘ team. Now, they are seen as one of the strong teams in the qualifier. GamersVille, a reserve team, quickly grabbed the chance in the qualifier after teams Jalkaps and BeyondDesolation Gaming back out of the qualifier.

“No pressure, samot na nga reserve ra gikan, unya naka top 4. Oks ra mapildi unya much better if daog,” said Joshua Benedict “Blurpi” Lao of GamersVille.

(No pressure, especially that we were just reserves, and now we’re at the top 4. We don’t care if we lose, but it’s much better if we win too.)

Hellion meanwhile, is a team formed for the league. The team expressed difficulties in facing their opponents.

“About sa among kontra, ila gyud mi lisod-lisuron para ra modaog,” said Prince “Orgen” Nebreja of Hellion.

(About other teams, they will always make the games difficult for us just so they could win.)

However, Orgen also added that “aside from discipline, we need to work harder and put in more effort than others.”

Ian “Ianmify'” of Team Daddy also shared his mantra on playing the game.

“Dota is not math but always make a solution.”

The weekly winner will win P2,500 digital credits and will be seeded to the main event of the AMD Summer League.

Matches tomorrow will start at 14:00 PHT and will be streamed and cast via Chuplak (Bisaya) and Kuya-Jop’s (Tagalog) Facebook pages. You can also view the matches at Dota 2 TV (accessed via the Dota 2 client).
