Valve cancels 4th minor and major
Earlier today, Valve announced that OGA Dota PIT Minor 2020 and EPICENTER Major 2020 will be canceled.
After careful consideration of the current state and trajectory of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the health risk that this presents to competitors, staff and fans alike, we have made the difficult decision to cancel to the 4th minor and major tournaments of the DPC season.

According to Valve, the health risk that Covid-19 pandemic presents to competitors, staff, and fans is the main reason for this cancellation.
OGA Dota PIT Minor 2020 and EPICENTER Major 2020 was supposed to be the fourth set of Minor and Major in this year’s DPC Season but after this fourth set of Minor and Major being canceled and the rescheduling of ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major, we are only left with 1 Minor and Major before the annual The International.
Given the high fluidity of the state of both the pandemic and geopolitical landscape, we will keep following the situation and decide how to approach the final major and minor of the season as the weeks progress.

Valve also added that they are deciding on how to approach the last set of Minor and Major which is scheduled from June 6th to 13th for the Minor and the Major, which is the ONE Esports Singapore Major, is scheduled from the 20th of June to the 28th of June.
Let’s wait until more updates will be given to us by Valve as this will affect the whole DPC Point System and how they will approach the upcoming The International 2020 which is scheduled on August 18th to 23rd.
